| Recycling Facilities
Charlottetown  GreenIsle's Charlottetown recycling facility is the major processor of recyclables for the Island Waste Management Corporation's (IWMC) two blue bag system. GreenIsle's recycling facility located at 7 Superior Crescent, receives, processes and ships over 250 tonnes per week of recycled materials to markets. Over 50 full-time dedicated employees process recyclable materials such as: PET, HDPE #2, rigid and film plastics 2-5, coloured and clear glass, tin, aluminum, old corrugated cardboard, newsprint, and mixed office paper. GreenIsle offers processing services that range from de-packaging, sorting of mixed loads and bulky materials. Our unique processing system allows us to effectively process hard to handle materials. Blue Bag Drop-off - Saturday - 8:00 am to 12:00 pm  Superior provides blue bag drop-off locations for residential blue bag materials at:7 Superior Crescent, Charlottetown 174 Industrial Crescent, Summerside 2030 Georgetown Rd, 2 kilometres east of Poole's Corner on Highway 3 Summerside GreenIsle's recycling facility located at 175 Industrial Crescent processes old corrugated cardboard. This facility provides convenient and cost-effective recycling options to customers in Prince County and Summerside area. The Summerside facility acts as a "fail safe" to the Charlottetown facility in the event of processing disruption. |
